I solation Blues
All fenced in and lonely
Just Ol blue an me asittin here onely
Sheddin tears facin fears,
on Covid isolation.
supposed ta be better fer our nation
Missin all that action of partyin as contradictory.
Wishin it would go away and leave us ,this virus trickery.
Came in from an Eastern wind aint gettin any warnin
No word at all of such as this widely spreaddin misery
and needin an inquiry fer us loosin our liberty
Aint much use complainin fer those whats doin the explainin.
Facin facts, caint relax fer thinkin of them dyin.
We polluted nature, that seems ta be Our Nature
and now earth, shes afighten back?
Dont it make one wonder?
Guess I/'/ll just hit the Jack, try not lookin so much back
Fer ol bluen me jest caint see why our world is goin under,
Yall?

I like this - but not this reality that your poem truthfully states, this blue we all feel, this isolation, and all the rest the coronavirus pandemic created.
It is real, it is something many have understood to be inevitable. Why we never had universal health care makes one wonder a lot about just now.
Lies like those from this horrible white house infuriate me.
There are naturally a whole host of production bottle necks in our global economy now. Stop - please, saying we have plenty of test, plenty of qpcr, plenty of serological tests in the pipeline when the truth is we do not. We do not because we do not have the raw materials for all the required reagents that are required to make the test. Two months ago the government should have commanded companies to produce many of these materials here - but they are not, as they say,
capable of delivering the truth.
European countries are far more suited for dealing with the economics of this pandemic because:
they pay all 80% of all lost wages in the shutdown, so that no one is being laid off. And, of course, they already have universal healthcare.
we are fenced in, but we are all in this thing together.
Our mental states are important. We need to talk to people if only by phone, or to illustrate our pain like you have through poetry.
Thank you Pooper for a true poem! And thank you Mick for keeping this board alive - you are a true poet hero!
Peace! |
