[hometext] => A friend pointed out the futility of pursuing absolute perferction. It is a rope ladder that will always fray.
[bodytext] =>
A robin promised
all the world
a never ending song,
but forgot to sing,
he must breathe,
so every breath became a pause.
To listening ears, all but his,
the note for air was still,
but every heave, he bereaved
as his promise freshly killed.

I like the message here. When we commit, we have to keep faith with ourselves. As long as we stay in denial,
no one can hold us accountable; no one can judge us, and we remain elusive, immune from failure.
Only the robin believes that he will sing tomorrow. |

for every breath,
he paused in given
promise to give,
even in death to his Robin
song, as he did so
bequeath
to those who cared deeply and
true, and for all those
who could never
hear his silent
song, he cared
deeply enough to
be a bird, to enlighten
thee, with cheery song
post haste.
As if to say,
we are, together,
living and breathing
here now.
this young doe jumped
out of the reeds this morning
on the moor, and my dog
jumped. She cut back into the
reeds and quickly disappeared.
We saw her later in the opening,
and my dog stared and stared.
And the young doe stared back
almost as if the two were interlocked,
and she then walked her way towards
my dog. And for a short moment
the two seemed together
again.
And wouldn/'/t that be nice
A group of three sisters said,
Vulture Birds who live way past
their years, in the area,
we see them all the time.
And as well, a group of wild Turkeys,
why just the other day, a male and female
and I counted them, ten in their flock,
crossing the road.
Should we be so lucky to know
this now?
Peace!
Peace!

Even the pauses for breath are notes being sung.
So even silence can add to the beauty of the song.
With what Jaye said about being in denial that those
around us dont judge. Its not that they dont judge
but that although they do judge....their judgements
dont bother us due to the fact that we see them as
being wrong.
Brilliantly written as always my friend

Futile to pursue perfection but good to put your best effort out there.
Great as always. |
