When you*re all alone
Ghostly voices whisper long into the night
They give me no comfort only fright
Where five used to roam
Now it*s just me as I stand alone
This house ain*t a home
No longer do those I once loved
Still roam
This house maybe my throne
But I*m so lonely
It ain*t no home

James: Even when the house it empty, it is full of memories that follow us around.
Everywhere I look, I am reminded of something from the past.
I love this poem, although it is very saddening.
Home is where the heart is...and you/'/re heart is all over that house!

You have packed a lot of emotion into so few words. You are right that a house is not a home.
Its the sound of little feet running across the floor, smells coming from the kitchen on holidays
along with the sound of conversation from around
the dinner table. But my friend apart from the
physical aspects, it is the memories made over
years within those walls and the love that never
lives forever that has converted a plain old house into home. Great piece and I hope and pray that
things will get better for you.
