That lock me in this dark, dark room.
Liquid blood drenches the left corner of
The old wooden floor,
Liquid as it is newly seeped
From my left wrist.
Dried blood decorates the door
From before I had given up hope of escaping this dungeon;
Dry because I gave up hope a long while ago.
Shackles have been bound to my petite feet,
The rust is barely there,
The shackles were attached only last month.
At least it feels like last month,
Time holds no meaning anymore,
The minutes roll into weeks with nothing in-between.
My nails are long enough now,
I filed them down on the stony walls,
My petty attempts to scratch them away.
Madness I can only justify as panic.
I am ready now to begin again,
Where I left off before,
I can scratch through this cage.
The burning flame in the corner;
My only light, there are no windows.
The flame reveals to me the red graffiti
I illegally painted on the floor and door.
The guards that watch me day and night
Will scream with mixed feelings,
Delight and shock will run through their minds
When they find me with two pools of blood
At either side of my wrists and ankles.
Beautiful forsaken princess locked in the crypt
Took on the fashionable fate she faced,
And died within it.
That should be the real message they give my beloved when they find my body,
However it would never be revealed like that.
Blown over, brushed under the floor boards that I lie on,
They'll never know the truth.
