[hometext] => It`s not what you look at that matters, it`s what you see. ~Henry David Thoreau
[bodytext] => Lucifer`s thirst
Quenched by sun burst
This silent curse
Gets louder. Worse.
Do you know
Do you know
How I can
Let it go
Not for show
Am I speaking?
I dont know.
Back and forth
To and fro.
Here I am. There I go.

The last line brings a smile. How true it is that we are constantly in automatic motion without being able to enjoy our own beauty in the world even though we stop to hold others in esteem.
A lovely write to remind us that when we are searching for things to admire and respect, perhaps we only need a mirror.

That quote from Henry David Thoreau! 🖒Perspective is an interesting thing.
____________
This poem just flows right out. I can/'/t say I completely get it (why lie, right?) but the flow makes it a damn pleasure to read. A very Scorperrific write!!!

I love to think that all things in life are changed by perspective, but the older i get, the more i feel biology affects perspective. While Thoreau definitely had a good point, even positive perspective can be skewed by circumstance. |

Another uniquely "you" poem, you have a style that I could probably always recognise even if I hadn/'/t seen your name attached to it.
I always feel like i/'/m going back and forth all day every day, but always try to make time for the important things in life.
I hope that I succeed in that at least.

Like enduring a long silent car ride after a difficult situation, exhausted from the fight, but no good place to run. Except within. |

Out of the box and unique.
That/'/s what makes it work. Very slick word play.
I do agree with Timmy.... I/'/d like to see more soon.
