you left me, I wish you’d die
I’ve always had
mixed feelings about you dad
because I don’t’ really know the entire truth
all I know is you weren’t even there, to see me get my first tooth
I’ve heard the different stories that my family tells
but you couldn’t even find me on the Internet, or send me mail
all life I just wished I had a father
it’s too late now don’t even bother
when someone brings up the subject of my dad
different emotions pop up in my head like happy mad sad
you don’t have anyone to blame but yourself
you don’t even have a picture of me to put on your shelf
why didn’t you keep in touch with my mom for my sake
you weren’t even there to see me blow the candles out on my cake
now I’m willing to give you another chance
because I at least want you there at prom to see me dance
I hope gods sends you to me or me to you
because I want to meet you I really do
then I could see how you really are
because you haven’t done much for me so far
then I could get to know you maybe
because you haven’t seen me since I was a baby
you made a mistake you can’t take back
but I want you here with me to help me get my life back on track
I want someone I could call my father
and I’m pretty sure you want someone to call your daughter
because there’s this part of me deep down that wants to love you
and I hope there’s that part of you too
