[bodytext] => I walk down a path of misplaced dreams,
Surrounded by the chorus of a thousand screams.
Wading through the pit of which that`s become my mind,
I look for the attention that only one can provide.
But as I struggle I soon find out,
That such a one does not exist along this arduous route.
It`s up to me and me alone to battle these evil thoughts,
And come out on top or watch it all fall to naught.
Though worn and battered, my heart beats true..
Singing the song that it once sung..with the subject being you.
Causing my mind to rage and my countenance to shatter..
It`s a safe bet that once again, I will become madder than a hatter...
//How can this be? I purged it all!
But yet with a single word, my defenses fall?
This can`t be right, this can`t be true..
Why does everything always lead back to you?!//
I fight these feelings, my heart I struggle to reclaim
But the damage is done, the pain is one that stems from your name.
It`s a pain that burrows deep and spreads itself in kind
Bringing questions and thoughts and all that rot to the forefront of my mind.
So as I walk, I feign a lock on the emotions that I feel
For the time will come when the day is done that they will all become too real.
This path I/'/m on has now become the object of my bane...
The only question left to ask is will I survive this all sane?

This is a tale of obsessing over lost love, and we all do it! In your clever write you try to make sense of the hurt, and bring closure to the matter to put it behind you.
It is a reminder that these feelings continue to surface but will do so with less power each time.
In the end you question your sanity which testifies to your firm grip on reality.
Love doesn/'/t hurt; until its over. And first we have to invite it!
Perhaps this is why the older we get the less spontaneous we become?

so if there is this thing about responsibility
you can be weak, be half crazy,
but still care about others,
maybe you hide your high falutingness
in a drawer, maybe there is a darkness
untapped, never ever having a chance
to see the light.
And you never know it. But you know
you would never wish it upon another.
Who could buck up to this, who wallows
like I, they say.
Some sanity starts with insanity
A courageous specimen
dressed in his pajamas
showing up for work
He/'/s on a board for a big corporation
It just does not matter
He is crazy, and everybody is,
or seems to be
emotionless.
But you are right!
great poem Sanity!
Peace! |
