Some of them we don/'/t even know
They write of their lives
Their children, husbands, and wives
The beauty of their days
Even their chronic dismay
As time goes on
Their journey grows long
They come and go to where nobody knows
No longer do they call this place their own
Not even their second home
Like a museum their time here is stored
No matter what, forever more
Their thoughts and dreams
Finally find peace it seems
Sometimes this brings sadness to my heart
And I ponder why they chose to depart
This cycle repeats over and over again
But thankfully has yet to come to an end [comments] => 8 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 69 [informant] => jamesstockdale [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => poets )

There is a sadness to the way life and stories are shared and the writer doesn/'/t return to this cyber community.
By leaving they have a better shot at becoming a legend, who knows.

So true but I find it sad.
Good work.

James, what an analogy to life itself! We come and go and hope we are remembered!
I like your idea that THEIR THOUGHTS AND DREAMS FINALLY FIND PEACE.

There is much hopefulness in your write today, not only for the present you describe, but for tomorrow.
I always feel inspired after reading one of your stories, and here/'/s to all the happy endings you bring us!

sprinkles of disjointed
you know the elbow bone
and ulna if it could be
all or any of us with more plasticity
we all come and we all go
but we are, or have been
here. it is kind of a stretch
not to recognize the you in me
or the me in you, or the those in
them, or the others in other words
And yet some try
if only in vain attempt to right the seas,
good try we say,
to them
great job,
keep it up
for the sake of ART

Peace!

How very true and sad. I wish that I would have
put more time here over the years. Your piece here
describes me in a way. There have been periods where
I have taken a hiatus and stayed away from my second
home when I should have been here supporting poetic
brothers and sisters. For that I apologize and there is
no time like the present to make up for lost time :)

Our words are immortal and the art lives on... one day we will all have our turn writing our last poem. We’ll always be alive here.

//Life happened. A large percentage went to social media. In that quest, socializing and media thingies became the enjoyment. Some got married, had kids and kids are awesome to have. Some say they can`t write anymore. Some do mysteriously disappear; at least from the internet. Some have passed away. Life happened.

Thank you again, TimmyJimmy.
