do you ever look beyond your nose
if you did you'd see things there
crying for attention
it seems you just don't care
there's bowel from the dog
your wife has a bad foot
and though she limps
you never see because you never look
what can I do to make you see
all I want you to
maybe I'll reverse the role
and ignore things just like you
then soon our house will be unloved
the dog will sleep in stool
the things I used to notice
I no longer will
then one day you will wake up
and realize things you've missed
and I will be the one who will
reverse our lives ... for good
