Who needs to know my name?
Only the people who ask
Only the people I deem worthy
The people who make my life better

In a public access world privacy is rare
So I will only tell you if I want to share
I hate it to be shouted out aloud
When I am in trouble or lost in a crowd

I was given this name
I am stuck with it for now
I can change it if I want
I can tell you any I want, real or fake
It is non of your beeswax, it is my business

Identity is far from what people can see on the outside. It is a compilation of everything that has ever happened to a person. Value is not lost in expression my friend. In fact, i would argue that it is always a gain. I loved the message and the vigor with which your message was expressed. Perhaps you are referring to the tendency for people to pry? In which case, i couldn/'/t agree more.

Name isn/'/t too important to me, but I can certainly agree. I find my self wanting privacy, but still wanting the chance to open up. I always hope that the mystery of not knowing me can give me some opportunity or at least aid in the in the interest of what I have to say, but I usually end up being inconsequential. I/'/ll tell you what though... I find the hard way that not being listened to or understood is a lot more painful than having to answer such a question or pry, or even a physical conflict.

nicely done :)

Privacy is getting more and more rare every year. I/'/ts hard to call private information "private" anymore. Good write!

An ode to privacy in a world of consummate communication. Must we always be connected to be validated?
But a second underlying message lives within this write: we are who we SAY we are!
We can change. We can recolor the page we have been given.
Life is indeed art. I am inspired to gather my crayons and re-invent me! What a fun idea!
When we look to ourselves, we get better answers!
And when we read your writing, we get inspiration!
