Array ( [sid] => 181738 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Thank you for the things you do for me. [time] => 2015-09-06 19:58:53 [hometext] => Inspired from a photo taken by James S and a ride on a train to New London [bodytext] => Thank you for the green that fills my heart space
surrounded by an azure sky
Thank you for the sunshine in my window
and for the birds that fly
Thank you for friends who oft remind me
of the gifts you give each day
I don't have to live in self pity
I can take some time out to pray

There are moments when I wonder why you chose me
When I think about all you've done for me

Thank you for forgiving my transgressions
when I fall to weakness
Thank you for love that strengthens
and helps me to do my best
Thank you for the moon and stars at night
and the black before the dawn
They are here to remind me

I like it. The enjoyable moments of the day, whether during it, or at night and inbetween one to the next. :)

It actually made me think as I read it, the fluidity and rhythm of this song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5SuOgjvk5g

It's basically an 8-bit song, made using older sounds from the original nintendo console from the late 80s, and the gameboy handheld from the early 90s, but if you go to about 0:30, and get used to the rhythm of it, you'll see the rhythm at which I read this.

It's got a "metal-music" style to the vocals at about 1:00, which I don't expect you to like, but the song is rather enjoyable itself.

Great poem!
That's why they say " don't forget to smell the roses"

I get outside in nature many hours of the day- keeps you sane........

James
