Perhaps we should use them as inspiration for changing how we view the real world [bodytext] => Sleep decants imagination to flow over steadfast rocks of the present
Stagnant life slips into the chasm of sombre reality and is reborn
A new ambiance sedates the heavy spirit
Pacifies the bleak demons that mask happiness with the burden of daily duty

Awake in subconscious wandering the mind is not fettered by repressed routine
But free to amble across parallel plains of vision
Dancing to the melody of an ensemble of fresh thinking and inspiration
Tired spirit rejuvenated, grasps the key and unlocks the door to freedom

No more rented thoughts that drown hope in a sea of dead acceptance
Melancholy has no guardian and crawls into defeat, the sick passenger
Black and white monotony burns and falls into dust
As the Dream Phoenix rises from the ashes, painting colour on the dark

Soar then, on the wings of aspiration leaving troubles choked in dirt
Grab the sword of inspiration and slay the beast of doubt
Redeem the joy of living, cast off the cloak of bland
Awake not the slave of torment, but the minister of hope

Brilliant piece! I felt like I was venturing into an alternate universe.
Very visual, and a great message that sticks.
