BirthdayPoems

When Dad died, it was something that wasn't great. If he hadn't perished, today he would've turned 78. My dad was born on October 18, 1947. When he was 65, he died and went to Heaven. Dad was hired to work at 'Woodcraft' in 1975 and he quit in 2010. He died of Leukemia and when I go to Heaven, I will see him again. Dad retired after working for many years. It's very sad because he's no longer here. My dad died too soon and it's hard to contemplate. If he hadn't perished, today he would've turned 78. [Dedicated to Charles F. Johnson (1947-2013) who died on July 13, 2013]

A difficult subject you have tackled here.
Moving to another country is like divorcing your history. There are disappointments, misconceptions, expectations unmet in this new place.
But if it is to be your home; treat it with respect;
defend your decision.
If you are not proud of your choice; make a better one. You are free to make mistakes here--just make them quietly, and be glad you can. |
