Her Mother called her Beauty,
And her Father sometimes too.
Later on in life she found,
That it really was not true.

For beauty's only skin deep,
While it rides the comefort zone,
But ugly is quite different,
For it goes right to the bone.

She knew that she was ugly,
In fact uglier than sin.
If ever she had beauty,
It was hidden deep within.

Her nose was such a honker,
That it scared a lot of folk.
In fact throughout her lifetime,
Was the brunt of many a joke.

Her eyes were crossed and narrow,
And she had no chin at all.
Her forehead seemed way to big,
While her mouth was extra small.

Her ears stuck out at angles,
Like some victum of a crash,
Her hair was straight and scraggly,
Just the same as her moustache.

So when it came to ugly,
You could never ask for more.
Her face was total chaos,
Filled with warts and moles galore.

Her parents left her money,
But in spite of all her wealth.
Beauty was beyond her reach,
She must live with herself.

Her house never had a mirror,
For they only made her cry.
Many times she prayed for looks,
But never one reply.

When she was old and dying,
Just taking her last breath.
Her ugly did not matter,
It was left behind in death.

In heaven she was honored,
More than some had ever been,
With radiance and beauty,
More than anyone had seen.

The rainbow of her smile,
Would light up the darkest day.
The beauty of her features,
Would just take your breath away.

There'd never been an Angel,
Quite as beautiful as she.
When ugly turns to beauty,
Then the spirit's truly free.

No spirit can be ugly,
It has never been allowed.
God made all spirits perfect,
And of that we wshould be proud.

Don't wallow in self pity,
If your face is not so great,
Some day we'll all be pretty,
And it sure is worth the wait.

Ugly

I have to admit, it was kind of funny, but also a good write! Did you write this yourself? If so, I really enjoyed reading it, thanks for sharing!

I love that this message: "God made all spirits perfect,
And of that we should be proud"
was laced with humor.

The message is absolutely excellent but you really should take your time and read through and check your spelling or have someone do it for you. Several misspellings and typos. Great poem otherwise.

Thanks,

Tim

Well, you've said it all: don't be ugly in this life. Let some pretty-arsed ***** have her day, but just keep your ugly mug covered up until you die, because that is when it all begins to get better. The older you get, the better. You will have had decades of being one, ugly SOB, but don't worry, spirits ain't ugly. Just you, you sad, ugly loser. Get on with it and die; then you will be free from mirrors and tears.
