To appreciate the sun we must have the rain
And the rain, it fell so heavy
The day I decided we should end going steady

Lightning bolt memories flashed across my mind
What ifs thundered, horrifyingly audible
The storm raged on underneath closed eyes
How did necessity turn to catastrophe

Yet the clouds are parting for those beautiful rays
The rain tapered and sun shines our way
Although you gaze into the puddle I urge you, look up
For you will see that it all works out
God is leading you on the path you belong
Yet I was to fulfill this, not drag you along [comments] => 2 [counter] => 122 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Deidra_Carmichael [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

An investment for long term gain. I like it. And thank you for your comments on my latest write.

"Wise you are", said the little green wierdo. There's an important thought in this poem that people would do well to take to heart-

no matter how hard or long the rain comes down, the sun will ALWAYS at some point shine through.

Sorry for you and Joshua, but you are young and (thank God you aren't a hysterical 'my world is over' kind of girl) there will be other Joshua's before you hopefully find the long-haul selection. I was reading (still am) Tess of the D'uebervilles, by Thomas Hardy. He mentions the difference between passing fancy and depth of love in a magical way. If you want me to find it and type it out (not overly long) I will do so upon your request. It is a sentence or two well worth reading.

Anyway, Deidra Carmichael, you wascally wabbit...have a great SUNNY day!

Invierno
