I am a toothless fury.
All bark and no bite.
Pusillanimous,
I lack the courage to speak out.
Drenched in sarcasm,
I leave puddled remarks.
Retorts to perceived wrongs,
Or real wrongs, but that is superfluous.
Anytime I protest I get beaten back down,
Dilapidated, I am.
What I would give for a simple dalliance,
Wanton, lustful, vibrant.
Predicated on mutual attraction,
Bound together by lascivious lexicon.
Spilling over with liquid love.
Going deeper and deeper,
Until we were satiated for the moment.
Revisiting our dependence at will,
Without restraint to indulgence.
From zero to seven with one taste of her.
Like a party for two,
I would come to that. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 268 [topic] => 2 [informant] => deadreckoning1983 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

Pusillanimous. Nice one.

I like how you switched it up and turned your thoughts to more pleasant matter. Excellent job here, full of innuendo and playful imagery. Well done!

Ravashing. Great line here: "Drenched in sarcasm I leave puddled remarks!" "What I would give for a simple dalliance".
"Without restraint to indulgence". But my favorite is "From zero to seven with one taste of her."
I feel as though I have been pushed over a waterfall…what a splendid rush!
Thank you for rekindling the reality that had almost vanished with the memory!
