Out on a walk that didn't last long
the air stinging fingers and toes.

The Crows and the Seagulls
were hanging around together.
Odd,I thought, stopped to watch and wonder.
Then one landed right next to me.

I talked to it,sure it would fly away,
they do not stay close night or day,
flighty they are those beautiful dark guys
but instead of flying, he hopped, hopped, closer by.

I stood real still, he cocked his head
I talked to him, he listened to what I said.
Then he hopped a bit closer, and began to chatter.

In the crisp morning air,the Crow and I
we had a conversation, back and forth.
For the life of me I have no clue what was said
but it was important, a spiritual thing.
Never before had this happened to me.

He flew off and sat in the tree
chattering still and closely watching me.
I walked back for home, with a smile and a tear
a whispering from the Crow is now what I hear.
Magical it was for me. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 248 [topic] => 43 [informant] => shelby [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I love this. It left me with a big smile. These are the magical moments that make life so interesting. It really makes you wonder, our connection to everything and the great unknowns.
You lucky gal! It sounds like you had a visit from someone who thinks you are quite special.
