I thought I'd let you know
the words and comments
that my flows get
keep me from falling all the way down,
sometimes I feel so low
I scream and scream
without making a sound...
that's what it must be
because no one ever notices me.
As emotions ebb and flow
Appolonia lets me know
that she knows how I feel
and get lifted
I start get up from falling down,
and when Nessa lets me know
that she's my friend
and that
she will always be around
that makes feel so good.
Then Hauntedscorp speaks
and all Illusions are shattered
he reminds me
it's just a moment
and it will pass,
slowly I begin to understand what matters
and that's never giving up
just like timotheous said,
and I want to thank you all
for helping me
as I was experincing a fall.
As I continue to dig out
of this prison I created
it's good to see
that there are others
who can feel what I feel,
it's so good to have you all around me.
I'm going to go now
and
drift on a flow....
but before I go
I just make sure you all know
that your
words and comments are so beautiful.
And
I just realized
that this is a emotional moment :)
cause I could go on and on
about the way I feel
man it feels so good to be real
and I"m out.......

Unknown? Unknown Utopia? I wish I could have a slice of that unknown.
I'm with you, friend. Had a bout of life myself as of late. The sun shines newly every day and brings the promise of whatever you give that day.

I am a "She" ;) I am also flattered to be mentioned in your poem. I like the upswing this post is indicating...Depression is a funny thing. Funny odd, not funny haha. It starts by tricking you into thinking it's just a bad day. Before you know it, the person trapped in its grip is making excuses (to themselves, to others) why something can't be done. Finally, it isolates you so completely from everyone and everything, except your dark thoughts, that our thoughts or perceptions become our reality. The Silent Killer, they call it. Indeed. Depression wants you to remain forever silent. Speaking up for yourself and speaking out are the only real tools I have found to help me. I hope you find the same release in your writing and sharing with your ypdc family. The key is to keep on, stay firmly in the moment (not the madness), and don't let that son of a ***** win.
Please know that no matter how alienated you feel, or how dishevelled your thoughts or writing come out- YOU ARE NOT ALONE. More people struggle with this every moment of everyday than they are willing to admit. You already have a foot up on many people by recognizing these feelings.
Okay, I am done. I'm no armchair psychologist...And I don't pretend to be. I am merely someone who has been battling depression and anxiety for years, and I recognize the same pain in others. I truly believe in "United we stand, divided we fall". Finding kinship in others, even strangers, is the key to this battle.
