Faded photographs,
Memories of yesterday lost in the tears and the laughs.
Heartless the way you made my world come to halt and crash.
Designed by failure or failure by design
The architect, this blueprint…
All I wanted was the pieces to fall together so I could…
Just for a minute, no for a second…
To be by your side.
Restless days, late nights…love letters.
Lost in the mundane world of loveless endeavors.
Holding on to the last words you told…
Remember, you…us…forever.
Engraved images cant be forgotten
To be by your side…that’s all I ever really wanted.
Broken, torn, disassembled…all words to me that mean “promise”
And lets be honest,
You played me like a shakespearean sonnet.
Tomorrow can’t get here fast enough,
And yesterdays fears will never leave.
Chest heavy relearning how to breathe.
Exhausted from all the tears I’ve dried on the right arm of my sleeve.
Stay, don't go, come back, one more chance…
Words that meant something…To you, nothing.
All you wanted to do was leave.
I was never given that chance, that moment,
Staring in the mirror feeling left on the outside…
But all I ever really wanted was to be by your side.
