Riding the roads to see what we can see

We'll drive with the radio blaring our favorite song
Wind whistling around as we loudly sing along

We'll find a lake or maybe the big blue sea
Racing the waves, our laughter ringing free

Maybe we'll luck upon a large grassy field
Where you'll fight fire dragons with your shield

We'll lie on our backs and describe each cloud
Having more fun and joy than time does allow

We'll walk along a tree lined, dusty track
Listening to birds sing, never looking back

I'll watch your eyes and drown in your smile
Wishing this day to never end with you, my child

As darkness falls, we'll sit on the hood of the car
I'll marvel in you as you marvel we went so far

I haven't read something from you for a while now. I'm so glad I looked at this one it brought that warm fuzzy feeling and a smile to my face heart and soul as it took me back to the days I spent time with my mom or dad. It maid me remember the times my mom thought me how to do things around the house and the long trips I used to take with my dad on the truck. Thank you for sparking these memories on a day when I needed it. Very beautiful poem.

Greetings
Rus

A nice, light poem. I love how this delights with imagery! It makes me wish I could pull up a piece of grass right beside you:) Thanks for posting.

This dances along and allows visualization. I say this is pretty good.
Reminds me of Travels with Charlie.
I'm diggin' it.

Thanks for the journey- I went with you.

Best,

Invierno
