[hometext] => A poem from a book I wrote around ten years ago for an immigrant wanting his life story in book. 'Branko's Ride' (Amazon)
[bodytext] => A strange country greeted me. Strangers filed past, not seeing me. An ocean of tears, half fresh laughter- half salted tears, have bourne me to this day. Skirted streets and smiles directed elsewhere- skittering leaves and a thousand thoughts of of nowhere. Such a crowded room my mind's become- Alone, yet filled with everyone. Gypsies danced- at least I think, fires pranced and jingles clinked, babies lay in sealed rooms, murdered secrets, darkest gloom. The heart of hearts remains the same, the core of man remains the same- the day is just as long in any part of the world.
