as the sun rose up from the horizon all ablaze
and the inner chamber lit up by its rays
I bet those there were in awe and amazed
their eyes transfixed and unblinking as they gazed
upon a sight seen long before as the beam of sun light
made its approach along the floor

An ancient site predating Stonehenge
triskelion symbol we now comprehend
a symbol that seems old as time its self
those ancient stargazers
understood it well,
upon the stones of new grange they engraved
that ancient cosmic symbol
their story they tell.

Well written! You had me in the dictionary! "Triskelion"..
Thank you for reminding me that this generation isn't the be-all end-all of the cosmos!

fancy work. I'm Irish they tell me. For a short time the sun hits down and such long nights with no light. Yet ah, the wondrous stars above. Oh just who were they, in the Isle of Emerald so long ago?
maybe you know?

Thanks. This one's really cool. I dig your love of the less than commonly shared history.

Peace!
