the jacaranda is in bloom,
purple flowers belled and bent
while jasmine scents the wind
—the season’s here again

rabbits rutting in the weeds,
bees buzzing at their task
the message that they send
—the season’s here again

the waves roll, and wild storms
knock new buds from the trees;
hail clogs the gutters, while
we squint through Southerlies

birds tending to their chicks,
sunlight warm against the skin
kisses stolen from a friend
—the season’s here again.

Wow... down under is good in spring,
absolutely, I think. Beautiful beautiful poetry...
I thought it were bout the fall where I live,
the sprinkling out, of the last golden rays,
good bye good bye, I was a thinking on a day
just like today, before it got a slight bit cooler
as it does.
Absolutely this is a wonderful poem!
Thank you!

Peace!

As we roll into the grip of Autumn with Winter hot on it's heels, it's nice to reflect on what is to come.
Made me smile and wish for the Summer past.

As I wrap up wisely against the impending
winter onslaught - bemoaning the criminal
costs of fuel energy - oh how I envy all you
downunders. And my envy continues to
increase with each verse, full of so much
promise that I can almost touch it........
so I'll take comfort from that.
