Father I want to thank You.
For all I'm able to do.
For me You gave a special talent.
Words I pen I could never imagine.
The gift of the gab.
With which imaginations I can grab.
Stories plenty to tell.
To make folk's heart swell.
Even sometimes bring a tear.
And also take away their fear.
Carry them of to far away places.
Rekindle fond memories of sweet embraces.
Yes even take them to outer space.
Where for a moment they can forget the rat race.
How blessed am I.
To let people's minds fly.
The poet's words.
Are like gentle silk cords.
Stringing everything together.
Like precious treasure.
Again thank You Lord.
For this gentle sword.

I like this, it is these types of sentiments that makes me think about my relationship with God

"So we endure the pain the devil throws at us.
He's trying to derail the things that God has done.
And though he knocks us down the Lord will lift us up.
So, we can dwell with him foever and ever"

Excerpt from "The mercy of the Lord Endures Forever" By Archie Brown (Not posted)
