[bodytext] => Ode to a Surgeon. From Human error or Nature’s dealing a steady hand Repairs, renews, restarts. Peeling layers of affluence Stemming rivers of effluence Mending, moulding. mountaineering in world’s unknown Till death is given a door through which life walks And conqueors. The unsung heros of the theatre, a bloody battlefield, years of Knowledge, years of toil, years of confidence that these hands Will be steady in their pioneering, delicate in their skills. A mind resolute. No place for fear nor time for thoughts of failing, for these hands Have the highest responsibility, they carry a mother’s hope, a Child’s future, a father’s vision, and yet who are the unsung Heros, the brave, courageous, enduring, who Will not be broken in their endeavour. Are they the names upon our lips? The mentioned at table. The revered of mammon. The heros imprinted in stone? In a wrapping of humility they patiently bring gifts To the table. Unquestioned of deserving. Bereft of judgement. And we take them as our right. No backward glance! And So Our gift to you is recognition, we bow in humble respect, We lift you in high esteem. We honour you in this world And for all that you have done In and for our lives. We extend to you our Thankful hearts and We remain indebted.
