[bodytext] => Oposite my house resides a half-insane spinster usually dressed in all manner of obsolete fashions, and usually tending to her uninspiring garden. We all chuckle at the sellotape pinning down her letterbox. Tonight walking by I caught her eyes indis- tinctly and evaluated her lumpy and ungainly form, pacing impatiently in front of her terrace flicking cigar- ette ash all over her slippers. Raising her voice I think to call for her absent cats to return home her slurs and shrill vowels bounded all over the towns roofs and streamed inside open windows. None had returned when she slipped back inside. Clearly they're as disobedient as her children, prefering her neighbours attention and better branded milk. Loafing around the house enjoying the last dregs of day, listlessly watching dull television. I grab my cigarettes and stretch my legs in my back garden admiring the play of light and shade my movements unfurled a cat sunbathing on a slab, now he's walking tenderley atop a fence. Ruffling my hair in the runaway sun with a keen wind whipping my skin. My thoughts turn to pretentious sludge and I consider how the smallest blos- som proves death doesn't exist.
