Trapped in a conflict
Looking for the answers to this so so stupid conundrum, which is my cross to bare
Pass me some of your mind altering jelly

Do I just go with the total confusion and conflict of views and values not supported by me?
Do I fight for my beliefs in what is true to my heart and tell them so?
Should I say forget it they no not what they do, they are fooling themselves if they believe in what they say?
Or should I get an apology for getting reprimanded for doing what I think is right told to me in my upbringing?

Do you want to hear my story?
Shall I tell you what it is?
Do you feel like voicing your opinion?
Where should I begin?

In doing what one thought was right
One should be true to ones principles
Fairness and truth, honesty and kindness
Just be a good citizen, team player or Jedi knight
Haters need not darken my sunny days

Can you be totally right, but so wrong?
You judge this book by its cover "confusion"
Executed for a crime of compassion
Confused by the answers to the questions when they conflict in re interpretation

When no means- maybe if
When yes means- but only if or sometimes we in special circumstances, we let the participant do whatever they want to do
See now you’re confused too?

I can't tell you any specifics
But here you wish for a big rule book with clear and concise answers
Because they say one thing and they do the opposite
Or whatever suits

Doing a favour
Pointing out a hazard
I did what I thought was right
But it was not the done thing and I was treated like poop
Helping hurt me with a kerpow! To the principles of life

Imagine you’re in a safe secure zone
Badges and uniforms needed for all
You are part of a non-coherent unit who have distained for each other and especially you
What would you do?

Just put your head down and work?
Stand up when you think, no you can't take your failings out on me honey?
Fight your corner?
Get the hell out of dodge?
But you have no other job to go to pay the bills

The rules are not rules, they are guide lines
Well I’ll guide my middle finger to the air to them
If I get pooped on for being a good citizen and pointing out a problem or too in the way things are run
They say I’m in the wrong to do so
It’s a catch 22 situation
Like paddling through toffee in a canoe
Pass me some mind altering jelly because I don't know what it is that you thinking people but you aren’t being true
