Array ( [sid] => 175889 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A Legacy. [time] => 2013-04-29 09:36:58 [hometext] => I wrote this poem after experiencing the devastation following the suicide of my friend's Son. [bodytext] => A young life gone!

A stone cast into oblivion.
A legacy of ripples.
A Man has lost his future.
A Mother suspended in her
Eternal
Search for her son.
Unrecognisable for Father
To identify.
Not wanting to out live him.
Too painful to identify him
In the grotesqueness of how
He Died.
Brother is now lost without
His brother.
A Grandmother and Grandfather
Have lost a Grandson..
And are trying to glue together
A future for their daughter.
A cousin has lost a cousin.
An aunt a nephew,
An uncle a nephew,
Friends a friend.
Life has lost to death!
Hope has lost to despair!
Lives are in pieces,
Eyes are deadened,
Hearts scrutinised.
Motives Surface and
Fall.
Closure has lost to
Questions that burn!
Anger ignites from pain.
Loss overwhelms.
The ties that bind break!
In those left behind the
Light has dimmed.
Seismic change,
Forced!
Destined to carry a burden of pain.
Not from choice
They struggle
On.

This brought tears to the ol' eyes! :( While I can so relate to loss, I cannot relate to this apparent type heinous departure.

Excellent writing as usual, dear Anna.

This is so painful and such a great loss . I know this horrid tragedy personally . my cousin Jesse killed him self at 18.. my family has never been the same. and the first few lines of this brought back memories,. and brought tears to my eyes. i am sorry for your loss i wish i could tell you it gets easier to deal with but i would be lying. it never goes away. hugs to you .

A very powerful write on the darkest of subjects. Your emphasis on the effects of how such a death effects those who grieve, is the power.
There's always so many 'whys' and asking: 'if only I could have done something to prevent this.'
Congratulations.

a heartbreaking write, beauty penned from grief and
sadness, you have touched upon all the elements and
done so with eloquent class and the kindest of compassion,

hugs n' love nessa
