In the burning confusion
once again
I am alone,
I go back to pretending
I don't care any more.
mentally I melt
as I emotionally explode
stayed awake all night
feeling so lonely
and cold.
Out of focus
off balanced
and blue,
crippled by love
in this emotional warfare.
I moan
as I am thinking now
why did you let me down
I need a second chance,
and then I silently scream
because I just realized
this torture is never ending.
Moon light shines through my window
as I sit in my room
memories are invading
as visions of what was fill the gloom.
