The Wonder of Her Eyes

I met her smile on the stairway
As she fell into my heart
A moment I held her,
a moment was all
She conquered me
She became my moments
She became my dance

If I should capture
that smile again
I would write
The wonder of her eyes
I would trace the essence
Of her loveliness in my words
