driving down the highway all legal & is right within the blink of an eye my day had turned to night
no doupt I saw it coming with a sixteen foot trailer full of weight I tried hard to devert the accident but it was much to late
a seventeen year old boy allthough driving all alone he had run straight threw the redlight while texting on a phone
by the time I got my truck stopped jackknifed & in a ditch I jumped out & Ran to the young boy & saw how my life had switched
he was scared but alright & I could feel no pain the fear had taken over me & suddenly it drained
once I knew he was alright it felt like something with my sight I was unconcious on the highway my day had turned to night
I guess the statement that I'm making or at least trying hard to say live life at it's fullest you may not have another day sincerely the hot shot poet

| Wow this definitely strikes a chord... Life can be taken for granted and the part about texting, my son fears that of me and I promised him I would never again... Sad but good poem |
