everything is still the same
I'm determined that I will type
although I can't sign my name

I know it will get better
even with a ways to go
this is how I show feelings
it's the only way I know

I woke up at 2 a.m.
as full of pain as I could be
I tip-toed to my computer desk
so noone else would see

I'm so gratefull for my family
my children & my wife
they have all vowed to get me better
they truly are my life

they have put there lives on hold
they do not think I see
there lives seem to revolve around
what is going on with me

these words may have no meaning
but in case someone should ask
I'm starting at the bottom
& this to shall pass

these simple words are so much more
than just writing with a pen
these are my baby steps
to being the hot shot poet once again [comments] => 5 [counter] => 228 [topic] => 25 [informant] => thehotshotpoet [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

Welcome back. Very nice write. A wise friend once said to me, "Do what you love, and screw everything else."

Keep writing my friend.

Your poetry comes from the heart and is very well written. With your family behind you, you will be inspired to write a lot more. Keep up the good work. I enjoyed reading this and want to read more of your work.

Your poem gives the reader optimism
When dear souls move around us
We can face any challenge hopefully
As they give colossal support and love

Please make that dramatic come-back
Enjoy life doing what you love in life
You have beloved souls to assist
All the best my poetic friend, proceed.
