careless

charcoal butterflies
lift
my dreams
on wings of water-color
ash

lips part

the sky. . .
kissing
the shy horizon
backdrop of a sun
suddenly melting
into an aura of souls
dancing into the evening
releasing
endless prisms
to twilight

wasting

words sigh
languish in frenzied
stillness
never fully giving
up
giving
in

temptation

to
just fade
just barely
just enough. . .
syllables. . . caged by nothingness
trapped within
the stages of forgetfulness
fly
least they
be. . .
betray
become
inescapable
emotion

eyes close softly

upon a wish
upon a time
& once
gifted
cannot be taken back
cannot be unmade
or saved
for another day
can never be
undone. . .

breath

less. . . whisper
sings upon a breeze
hauntingly, as night falls
touching
lightly, here. . . there
in the mist
a lullaby of voice
gently
cradles the emptiness
recreates itself
releasing nameless
echoing
a desolate quiet

bliss

touches
recoiled from strained-glass
embrace broken
encapsulated
not so unlike
a timeless shift
shards of heart
break
yearn to
& reflect again
& offer up
offer up
offer up. . . the manna

. . .

E,

top drawer poetry, lyrical and dreamy. such a lovely tension of weighty musings and ephemeral imagery.

Oh man oh man oh man! It begs to be read again and again as the softness of it trys to elude as a whisper soft communication. LOVE!

This is epic! I love the flow. Loss, hope, dreams, memories, and a touch of fear. I felt it all as reading this!
