[hometext] => This poem was written about my first few months at university.
[bodytext] => We drank to make friends, we drank to have a good time. We made friends for life, and the times had were sublime. Smiles were had and laughter took over, as we learnt the joys of being a student. The nights came quick and fast and the cost of a hangover is what we spent. We lit up Southampton, proving this was our new home. Alcohol in hand, music blaring out loud, as we waited for the foam. An indispensable experience, the mayhem that halls brought. Breaking rules and breaking laws, in the hope we weren’t caught. Pirates, gingers, gnomes, toga’s, cats and army, you choose. Just remember one thing if you’re coming out, don’t forget the booze.
