so what do you do
pretend the stuff didn’t happen to you
pretend you weren’t abused
pretend you don’t see yourself as fat
pretend guys don’t uses you
but it aint like that

after a while pretending gets weak
so in the end you need a relief
the thing that you seek
has a name called drugs
they work to forget you worries
but then before long
its out of control
the next big hit is your ultimate gaol

turn to god been there done that
but the thing is it doesn’t last like that
soon you remember your pain
and realize in the end you have nothing to gain

so what do you do
when life is too hard
you get a pill
that will end it all
and take it down in one big hit
now your life is ova and you can forget
the one thing that you never could in life
the fact that you were raped.

I can see where you are coming from on this but I don't share your perspective. I am NEVER going to say that getting over rape is easy ( I know, I have been there) but rpae is all aout power and if you let yourself be a victim, they have won.

I showed my abuser that he had no power over me and I started to heal.

The poem is very well written though.

its a cycle of cirlces until you go two of one ways ....to heal...which would be the stronger route...or death wich would be the easy way out...they won ...you have to use your abusers hate...against them...in the end it will drown them ..when they see they can't hurt you...but n e way ..loved the poem...good job
