Array ( [sid] => 171371 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => My Brother, Forever? [time] => 2012-03-18 07:00:37 [hometext] => Written for my bestfriend, who I met the day he was born and have never left his side, until now. [bodytext] => Together since we were born
I never thought we would be torn;
Separated, as your love turned to hate
You turned on your own brother, and surprised even fate

Grown up together, never a doubt we were forever brother:
I always imagined you at my wedding, you meant way more then just another
But now you pretend that i don't exist
I'm dead to you, I'm on the black list,

No one will ever know how much this hurt me,
You all say he will come back and apologize, but why can't you see,
He was everything, my role model, my family
And when I needed you mate, you left me for dead.

All I remember, from when I was young
Is you brother, and the fun we have spun.
Surely I haven't 'changed' that much that you can forget this now
All I can ask is one question, how.

How can you do this, you were the closest I have ever had to family?
How can you say I have changed, while you forget about us and won't even tell me what I have done?

I know this isn't you, but the damage is deep
If I were to die now, would you even weep?
Would you suddenly remember who we are?
The promises we made, that we planned for so far

So what, you push me away like you never knew me?
In the end, we will lose everything, and have nothing to be
Is that what you want brother, for us to forget?
These tears that fall, show it's not what i would let

All i wish is to get you back,
For that, I would forget all about this emotional attack,
Just to know you have my back still
I would do anything, overcome the highest hill

Man, it was always so natural with you
Without you I have no clue
Just knowing you had my back,
Made every single thing more bearable, less black

These days just aren't the same,
I just want the times back, I'll take the blame
Just tell me what I've done, I'll stop, for you brother
You were the bestfriend of my life, there will never be another

Just remember the promises we made
And in the future, remember it was you who let them fade
You will come to regret this pain you have dealt
This is a feeling I never wished I felt.
