[hometext] => Poem about self realisation as well as the struggles of the impovorished Continent Africa. Hope you enjoy.
[bodytext] => Its beauty over shadowed by darkness, Its joy eclipsed by pain, The bravery of many boundless, I cover my head in shame, Where do they find this courage? Amongst such anguish and strain, I’ve never felt so cold before, There is no way I will return the same. Why do their smiling faces haunt me? What is this feeling I can’t contain? Is it the guilt within my conscious? Do I even have reason to complain? They lose limbs, loved ones and dignity, Yet are able to constantly smile all the same, For my whole life it’s always been Me! Me! Me! But now my deepest desires have never felt so plain. A trip to the Motherland has opened my eyes, Ill never be the same again, As the kids sing and the trees sway, I whisper a silent thought, Almost a prayer, When will they break the chain?
