You gave away the rarest fruit
You think this is all just a game
Time you were told the truth

Deadbeat mom, ice flows in your veins
Your heart is a fourth of a normal size
You think in this world you reign
Wrong dear daughter, time you realized

You like to tell people what a hero you are
How you had to pass your children off
Had to go alone to reach your version of stars
We point out the pain you caused, you scoff

No interest in his life, no help for his success
No time to spend, no love to guide his way
Deadbeat mom, time for you to re-access
My version of your parental judgement day

You're a waste of my time and energy
You've lost any claim to this child's wonder
No longer figure in his future or our memory
This ends the pain, hurt you put us under

The ice in your veins will never thaw
Your soul will answer for what you've done
Away from the rope of abandonment we'll saw
Your delusion of motherhood will be gone

He is the hero, this strong soldier of mine
None of your vileness has reached his soul
He has a wonder, brightness, a future in time
He will be everything, succeed every goal

Though you have taken much from my life
I've gained more than can be measured by man
To ensure that he grows up loved, I'll end this strife
Together, he and I on hope's ground will stand [comments] => 4 [counter] => 92 [topic] => 75 [informant] => dvtpdw [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished )

This is a heart wrenching write but it's written well.
I raised my three kids alone with out any help from their father.
I just can't comprehend the fact that someone can give their children a way for any reason.
My children have been and are still been my life then theirs the grand children and now great grand children.Life is short at it's best. Chidren gave me reason to get on in life.
Hang in there. Even tho you are caring for your son etc,, I find they wouldn't been a good parent any way.
God bless you for being the one he can always count on.
Blessings,
emy
