She closes her eyes but no sleep comes
Fear grips her every bone.
She worries so much about the future-
Fearful of the unknown.

She’s not afraid of dying
That’s not her greatest fear.
She’s more fearful of living
And being on her own.

She wonders when the time comes
Who will be there to assist.
Having no children of her own
Makes this fear persist.

Oh Jen it's so good to see you here at home. i really missed you.
This is great writing. I think we all fear things like this. You are a beautiful soul, my dear friend. You have raised and touched many children in your life and I'm sure they will all be there to help and then you have your hubby.
Always luv,
emy
Ah yeah and with all your guardian angels will never leave you. Wish we lived closer so we could meet. Still we are great friends and know with out A DOUBTthat I could never have a better friend,

I would like to say I can feel her pain but not sure I can. I only know we all feel some pain from something. My list may be infinite.

I do feel sorry for her. Through empathy, do we feel her pain? This did seem real to me and that's a mark of a great writer. Hmmmm...just said the same thing to someone else but doesn't make it any less true.

Great poem.

Thank you,

Tim
