Care
You know when your friends care
You get a call now and again
You get a text, a Christmas card
You get a birthday card
They poke you on face book
They read your poetry and comment
The ones who dont, dont
But you give them the benefit of the fact they once did
Time to wake up!
They dont care anymore!
Prioritise, focus on the real
Discard the fake
Your better than that
You dont need riff, raff or the past pals who have moved on
Move on to those who care
Focus on them this year

| Point very well made, and one taken by this old beginner poet. It touched to the sad emply spot left by friends earlier. Great write with an ever greater meaning. Thank you for sharing. |
