i can't no bear
the truth that lies within
my heart, yes
still yearns for him
but it also holds
a place just for you
as well
every time we are together
i never compared the two
i never once doubted your love
nor did i ever not trust you

you two are nothing alike
that's why i want us to last
down the years
to come

no matter what the future holds
