Remember when you were young, the world was full of hope,
You were gonna be a star, fall madly in love and elope.
You were going be famous, a celebrity through and through,
Now look at you, what is it that you actually do?

Youre a barman, a waiter, you work in a shop,
What happened to make your aspirations flop?
Whered all your dreams go? The world got in the way,
You struggle to get by, just day to day.

Life happens to everyone, but youve let it hold you back,
You cant hold a job, you always get the sack.
You need to get a grip, take hold of your life right now
Dont be a coward, dont ask me how.

Just do it I beg you, please turn it around,
The courage is inside you, waiting to be found.
I turn from the mirror, Ive said what I had to say,
You never know, I might listen, today might be the day.
