As children We werent afraid of seeing the dreams. Wed fill All voids with laughter and playful screams.
Never bothered To find out what couldnt be done; Wed learn And accomplish much while having fun.
Expressed ourselves Much better than we ever would, With a childs Promises and hugs that felt so good.
The anger That would always cheerily be cured And our agitation, Back then, never for long endured.
Wed fall On the ground and get soaked in the rain Unafraid Of the dirt and the drops and not complain.
Was long ago When we werent past our childish ways, Yet, for us Theres much to learn from our childhood days.

| 'Childhood' is a charming poem. In its easiness it lends itself to the theme of simple childhood. Sure sounds like you had a good time as a child: bet there's a lot of those good old times you could still reach -- if you let go of 'adulthood' for a little while... Regardless, there is a sweet nostalgia here. A sunny reflection. Delightful! -- Flint |
