[title] => The Lighthouse
[time] => 2003-04-29 00:25:00
[hometext] => This poem portrays a lighthouse which was the pride of a kingdom at one time and whose dazzling light used to save many a ship from disaster.With the changing times,the lighthouse soon became useless and was abandoned as a ruined ancient relic.
[bodytext] => The angry sea struck cruel and boldened,
The lighthouse sighed;old and abandoned. The golden days of youth;a kingdom's pride, It switched from side to side. The light lighting for miles, The sea always in smiles. The bells chiming in harmony, The jagged rocks writhing in agony The sea lost its lip and whip The lighthouse blessed upon by many a ship. The past has gone in tatter, The present bent upon to shatter. Changes brought in;at every junction The lighthouse had ceased to function. But still it hands;braving the world With a grim bruised frolic As a forgotton lonely ancient relic [comments] => 4 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 48 [informant] => ravi [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
