The winds blew with a fierce gust
And thus swayed the minds of
The faceless in the ivory tower
Whose edicts affect so many

The winds blew furious and strong
Dislodging many from
Comfortable places and forcing
Disruption to once steady lives

The winds blew with such force
Scattering like so many leaves
The lives affected
And the hopes of the many

The winds blew...forcing many
To see only despair and
Feel only the fear
Of the unknown

Yet one embraced the wind
And feeling it on her face
Chose not to flutter lost
But to take a new course

The wind with its dire intentions
Continued to blow...but now
Causing lift under courageous wings
Her spirit began to soar

The wind, thought to be destructive
Now brings resolve to her mind
Excitement to her spirit and
Joy to her heart

The winds with bad intentions
Now allow her to take flight
She now feels her destiny
And she can see her future
