With just one look
just one look at her heart..and you'll lose yourself
You'll kick and shout but there's no going back..
Your heart is already tethered to her heavy chains..
You won't be able to explain it, but you'll feel free in her grasp
She'll cry tears through your eyes
and in the middle of everyone else's screams you'll be able to hear her whispers
You can try to find the logic in this love...but you'll be wasting your time
You can try to find the perfection in this love..but you'll be fooling yourself
The truth is her love will wear you out
There's no turning back
You've already fallen into her love
and you'll find yourself trying to lift up her pain
It'll weigh you down until your knees come crashing to the cold concrete
Now you'll be the one crying
crying through her eyes as if they were your own
In that moment you'll realize that you are imperfectly connected
like two wrong pieces of a puzzle forced into place
and in that simple truth..
you'll realize you never want to let go of her hands
and she won't want to let go of yours
even if the edges don't fit..
There's no going back
