Another day in the engine shed
Resting,
Looking down the tracks
I see.
The wheels of dysfunction
Driven by perfection
Unstoppable!
And I Stand on the tracks
With my hands
Held high, helplessly
Fuelled by addiction,
Fighting
Exhaustion and the screams echo
In normality, yet
I do not hear my voice!
No choice!
But to accept rejection.
Individual cogs turning out of pattern.
I need them to turn!
To be a perfect
Journey, I have no way back.
Just
Limping forward, I stare
At the connections,
At the others.
Wind them up and see them go
Derailed by the the one in
The Driving seat.
Propelling into
Vales of volatility.
They snap!
Foundations
Weakened by
Cracks, faults, imperfections.
An ever turning table of
Disconnection,
Repetition,
Frustration,
Emptiness,all
Patterns of disrepair.
And minute by minute,
Hour by hour,
I search for function,
And I
Struggle!

Hi Anna,
Reading this I can just see you bending over
an open bonnet, spanners nuts and bolts
flying everywhere - though I suspect it's the
nuts and bolts of life's frustrations and
tribulations that's on display here.
Well crafted, young woman ........ as usual!
