Listen can you hear it?
the sound of discontent,
even jokers fear it we've
hardened like cement.

Wallowing in shadows
like roaches in the wall,
going by the name of
fear encroaches on us
all.

Tell me do you feel it
do you know it's there?
all the signs reveal it
yet we still don't care.

Oh the joy of arrogance
like swine amidst the mud,
killers do their rain dance
ln puddles made of blood.

How and why have we
become the monsters
that we are, fighting wars
that never end while wishing
on a star.

Hoping for tomorrow trying to
find a better way, to aliviate
the sorrow that's caught up
with us today.

Coverups and lies corruption at
it's best, someone stole the
teachers soul and cheated on
the test.

Ben

Perfect in every way! (watch spelling of "alleviate," but otherwise another great rhythmic read)
