Especially when this goodbye means so many newer things,
Things that people might not see until later.
This goodbye is newer beginnings.
This goodbye means a door is unlocked, a door we both have access now to.
This goodbye is a newer path to another road,
A road where maybe there won't always be sunshine
But there's light still, and the sky's still above my head.
This goodbye is the end of this day, but means a newer one comes too.
This goodbye doesn't mean we'll never see each again.
It just means I don't know when but it also means I can mature a little more,
Become a little more stronger the next time we meet.
It means I can enjoy my newer found freedom and you can do it too.
Don't look so damn down, hun, cause you said goodbye first.
Now you can go kiss another, love another, be with another.

Goodbye For Now

I never been a fan of saying "Goodbye",
Especially when this goodbye means so many newer things,
Things that people might not see until later.
This goodbye is newer beginnings.
This goodbye means a door is unlocked, a door we both have access now to.
This goodbye is a newer path to another road,
A road where maybe there won't always be sunshine
