Her vision in a dream comforts,
Gone for a moment – yet ever present
A kiss relinquished– yet ever sought

As nights become longer
Another day endures,
Her voice unheard – yet ever sweet
Her touch unfelt – yet ever soothing

With this distance steadily farther
A heart intact is squandered,
Waiting to arise – yet ever vacant

Never obtained – yet ever treasured

The heart wants what it wants... When the hearts needs collide with common sense, the mind becomes restless. Love can indeed be like a drug, we become addicted to its intrigue, its beauty, its promise. The withdrawal is among the worst. Beautifully (and painfully) expressed.
